It depends on your industry!

If for a second you think of free search engine traffic like it’s paid counterpart then every visitor you get has a monetary value attached to them.

These are some of the most competitive search terms on the planet so your industry or niche will probably be much less.

So as an example let’s say you might pay £1 per click to keep it simple.

If you get 1000 visitors of free traffic from Google it could be worth £1000 per month to your business and in many cases much more.

So how do you get better search engine rankings?

The quick answer is it’s complicated!

The detailed answer is:

First you need to publish quality content on a regular basis to stand a chance.

Second your technical SEO (the stuff happening on your page) has to be right.

Third your website has to have backlinks from relevant websites.

And lastly your visitors need to consume your content and not just leave in the first few seconds.

So what does an SEO consultant NOT do?

I don’t get my hands dirty by fixing your websites issues! That’s your job.

I don’t write your content for you (You are the expert in your niche or industry after all).

I don’t build backlinks.

I don’t do FREE strategy calls! I think it’s bullshit to get you on a call and try to talk you into my services it wastes your time and mine.

It takes a lot of time to do a proper analysis of a website, it’s backlinks and the industry you are in and then formulate a plan based on it.

I found a long time ago that people who want to start this type of relationship with FREE are most probably not a good fit for my service and have unrealistic expectations of where that free line is.

Do you charge hourly or retainer based work?

SEO is a long game unfortunatly that’s the nature of search engines, I only work on a retainer basis.

Do you do done for you SEO?

I have other commitments with my own sites and if I did you couldn’t afford it.

How many clients do you work with?

At this current time I have one but will work comfortably with three or four. I have limited time (we all do).

Do you work with agencies?
No I do not!

From experience I know that about 80% of them are chancers with very little real experience of SEO.

These types of operations outsource to content mills in the third world and provide a shit service!
